KAZ2Y5 was the result of IGEN's competitor BIOSYN's tresspassing to Isla Sora after the original park on Isla Nublar failed in 1993 and after the events of the Tyrannosaurus Bull escaping into Los Angeles in 1997. Here the scientists/saboteurs were the first to discover the V. Isla Soranus, a sub species of the IGEN created V. Isla Nublaris whose DNA more closely matched that of the original fossil velociraptor then that on INGENs. they then hunted and killed a pair of each of the islands dinosaurs rather then try to risk the insanely stupid notion of capturing them alive (shotgun to the face.) Smuggling the corpses of several dinosaurs off the island and to their lab on Isla Matanceros, they proceded to clone new dinosaurs by mixing DNA together to create hybrids for animal testing, as Artificial animals have no ethic code of abuse. This blatant disregard for life created some of the most violent creatures known to history, being created only to be tortured and vivisected like they were only insects.
at some point in time INGEN retaliated by sending a team of their staff to scout out the lab, only to find it abandoned with only a few starving hybrid dinos locked in cages far too small for them. In the process of trying to free some of the animals the tortured dinos lashed out at their would be rescuers. Owen Grady, and Rick Lynch were the only survivors of the assault as they were the only ones smart enough to avoid the human loathing dinosaurs. While waiting for a chance to escape they discovered a batch of rotting raptor eggs in the abandoned lab. to their surprize one of the eggs labeled KAZ2Y5 was still viable and had began to hatch! Owen after just seeing the carnage the other raptor hybrids had created only an hour ago wanted to smash it, but Rick helped coax it out of it's shell.
what had emerged from that shell was a small black raptor with blue stripes and stunted neck, it imediatly imprinted upon Rick and somewhat imprinted on Owen. Returning to Ingen to report on Isla
Matanceros, the island was sealed and removed from maps, to prevent anyone from returning to that island of abominations and horror. INGen at this time was going bankrupt and on it's failing legs decided to research the insane possibiliy of dinosaurs and man co-existing, by allowing Rick to raise KAZ2Y5 while they researched his behavior towards humans. the hybrid raptor showed almost no agression towards both Rick and Owen for well after the eight weeks the former research had proven. KAZ's birth defects made him impossible to exist with the other research animals on Isla Sorna, needing constant care as it grew. Though helpless aganst dinosaurs, he did prove deadly to humans after a breakin at the lab he slaughtered a possible BioSyn spy that had stumbled in to his sleeping space. INGEN at first grew afraid of the derped deadly dino, but the fear was cooled as his agression only directed at his trespasser. A potential project for raptor guards was created, just as Masarani Global purchased INGEN. Owen takeing tips from Rick's experiences with the hybrid raptor, began training the more deadly and more hostile raptors for the ACU (Animal Containment Unit).
KAZ is kept on leash at JW as he cannot see very well and crowds sometimes excite him to the point of running off. but for the most part he is very tame, but all caution needs to be remembered with raptors as, people pulling tails or sudden hugging have caused him to lash out at those around him.
if you do see him wandering in the crowds, just give him a gentle pet and warning before giving him a hug.
danceing with the raptor is fine too just don't swing him around too much he might get dizzy. like Daryl Dixon just found out.
